| I was sleeved on the 1/11/11. For dinner I had chicken curry and rice. About 1/2 a slow cooked chicken thigh fillet and about 3 or 4 tablespoons of rice and a couple of beans. I couldn't quite finish all the rice, so tempted but learning it is soo not worth it to go that extra spoonful or 2. | |

| Potato and cheese may be a bit heavy on a tummy that is only 5 days post op. I know every surgeon has different guidelines to follow but I wasn't allowed anything but fluids for the first 2 weeks. Maybe try something a little lighter like a soup. There is a lot of healing going on in our tummies and not putting pressure on the staple line is the key. Hope this helps and you have no more dashes to the toilet.

| Subject: Hungry between meals Sun 15 Jan 2012, 2:06 pm | |
| Hi everyone,
Do you get hungry between meals?
As this is where I struggle, the most,
I have a band and still get hungry lots. Is the sleeve better this way. I hope to get the sleeve soon, but only in the beginning stages.
I have read a lot of posts and everyone is really inspiring me.
To be honest I am scared I will fail again. As I never lost a lot with the band. I don't regret it but.......................
Please do not think I am being a kiljoy as I want to get healthy and slimmer. I think this time having a forum will help me.
I would love to meet some people whom have had it done. When I had my band over 10 years ago we had a support group but I was not getting the results like the other people, so I stopped going to it.
I have an appointment to see my specialist on the 25th and he suggested the sleeve to me last week, my hubby is behind me and my son.
Kind regards,
Short Chick | |
