Hi - Being sleeved by Dr. Daoud (Greenslopes Hospital) next month. Just wondering if anyone else was sleeved by him and what their experience was like. So far it has been all good for me. Really scared so would love to chat to anyone who has gone through the operation that will be done at Sunnybank hospital - not sure what to expect.

I am booked in for my first consultation with Dr Daoud on 4th October, I am so nervous. I hope he will let me have the sleeve this year but I am worried he might delay it for me to lose more weight. I just want to get it done already. My GP says he is a great doctor and very experienced

Just a bump to reminde you all about the support group meeting. Next one is 2nd October!

I took 1 week off but I should have taken more. The actual recovery wasn't bad, it was more the tiredness. I guess thats from the body learning to function on so little food. Also don't let my recovery fool you, if I had done what they told me to I have no doubt that my recovery would have been so much smoother. I said to A lastnight that I can't believe its been 17 months since my op, that I would never ever have imagined that I'd end up this thin! That nothing had worked for me before so why would this!!?? But it has and its been amazing!

Hey!! He only put me on opti for 10 days, so dont get too overexcited with it, its hard to stick to, no need to stress over it too soon! Good luck, look forward to hearing how you go!

I was sleeved by Dr Mark Daoud on the 10th May 2010, i have lost to date 22 kgs, gone from a size 24 to a size 20. I am feeling great. The staff were amazing and really made me feel great too. If your looking for an expert in the field, then look no further than Dr Mark Daoud and Greenslopes Specialist Centre. No complication or problems.

I have three months until my 18th birthday and i was hoping to get it done before that time so that i can get it done under my parents health insurance.

Maybe because mum works at the McCullough centre, I might be able to get in early... Who knows.
