| Hi
I had Mark Daoud when I had to have an emergency appendectomy at Greenslopes hospital about 8 years ago.
The on call surgeon came into me about 7 pm and she that he had talked to another surgeon ( Mark) and he did these surgeries by lapocrospy. he had talked him him and he would do it. He walked into my room at 7.55 pm and by 8 I was being wheeled into the operating theatre.
I had no problems with him and thought if I ever needed surgery again I would go to him. Didn't even know he did the sleeve.
I have been in Sunnybank Private twice once in 2002 to have a band put in and again in 2009 to have it out and had no problems then.
Hope this helps
Regards
Tina | |

| Subject: HI I am booked in with Dr Daoud on 22nd April and would love to keep in contact with you. He seems very nice and has great resultd after doing over 600 sleeves. He is the second surgeon I have tried as I was not comfortable with the first. Best Wishes Thu 13 Mar 2014, 10:03 pm | |

| I know two people who've had sleeve surgery with him, one of whom is a doctor. They were both very happy.
I wanted to have him do my surgery but he refused twice, two years apart. I admire him for that because he thought it was too big a risk to my health (I have a non weight related medical condition). He has ethics and principles and is a good cautious surgeon. You KNOW that if agrees to do the surgery on you that you are in good hands.
Sorry, I don't know anything about Sunnybank but my friend tells me she was treated well. |

| Hi, I had my sleeve done last December by Dr Adib at Sunnybank. I've only stayed at public hospitals previously so I was impressed. Only 2 per room, I was on my own most of the time. The nurses were wonderful. Only fault I found was with the kitchen. I came back fro my swallow X-ray and there was a mini sausage roll waiting for me. Luckily my nurse took it away for me. Good luck with it all. Dr Adib does a great job. - vixta99 wrote:

| I know three people who had surgery with Mark Daoud. They are all extremely happy with the outcome. One of the people was my ex GP. When a doctor picks a surgeon for themselves they know who is best!
I've never heard anything negative about Sunnybank (in fact none of them mentioned the hospital). |

| Hi
I had a breast cyst removed by Dr Doaud late last year at Sunnybank. I thought the hospital and staff were very nice, I stayed 4 days because the cyst had developed into an abscess . Dr Doaud came in every day, was very thorough, caring and interested. He asked me lots of questions regarding my weight loss journey and was on first name terms with the surgeon who saved my life. I would see him again if there was a need.

| Hi I had my sleeve yesterday with Dr Daoud. Everything has run smoothly. He always has his patients in ICU for a night after there procedure. The care is wonderful. I am now in a private room which is lovely and quiet . | |

| I had another surgery but Sunnybank was very good. The nurses were all great and even their students were pretty good. I had to share a room with a 96 year old lady who was very noisy all night but everyone is very thorough and friendly. No problems at all. | |
