I thought this would be a good thread to give early sleevers some hope that eventually life will be normal again!

I am seven months and 3 weeks out, and tonight I am munching on melted cheese and ham on toast with relish (one piece is all I can manage). I might have a bowl (small) of ice cream in an hour if I get peckish later!

I am having a left-over mini beef burger.
I ordered these last night when out for tea, just the right size for sleevers. The meal was two mini beef burgers, sour dough roll and some lettuce, beetroot and relish. It was so yum! So I saved one for tonight, can't wait!

Cherrypie l didnt know you could could a pasta bake in a slow cooker l would be very interested in the recipe? and yes it does sound yummo lol

Chicken and bacon pasta bake cooked in the slow cooker. My portion was about half a chicken thigh, some bacon pieces, and one new potato along with some of the creme fraiche (lite!) sauce it was cooked in. Yummy!

It's quite hot here today so I didn't feel like a proper dinner, mango smoothie with vanilla sustagen here tonight, 4.5wks out :)

5 months out

80g grilled chicken breast marinated overnight in Moroccan spices with a little garlic flavoured olive oil.
Over the top, home-made Tzatziki - 1 tbs Black Swan no-fat Greek yogurt with 1 clove crushed garlic and 1/4 of a grated Lebanese cucumber
80g baked pumpkin

About 1/4 of a lean pork medallion with about 1/4 cup of vegies and gravy over everything of course. Was so yummy but I am very very full.

13 weeks post op.

Ham and salad on flat Mountain bread. Fresh berries and a little cream for dessert. Yum.
Couldn't resist the cream at the supermarket yesterday. I was hungry when shopping which I don't usually do so will make sure I eat before I shop next time though.

Salmon Frittarta, couldn't be bothered cooking vegies, so munched on a raw carrot.

2.5 weeks post op. mushy food stage.
Atlantic salmon with mashed potato & pumpkin & broccoli with white sauce. Only managed to eat 6 teaspoons of it but it was sooo good! Lol

6 weeks out:1 honey,cashew chicken sausage and vegies...

fresh fish 2 small fillets herring if people know there fish, and maybe a florrett of broccolli

Shreded chicken breast, a couple of avocado cubes, thin slice of roasted sweet potato and some steamed broccoli drizzled with homemade vinagrette dressing. :)

YUM!

I'll be having about 2/3 cup of homemade fried rice with extra egg for me :)

Steak and roast vegies............2 years out.

3 weeks out.

Pureed mussaman beef curry with carrot, potato and sweet potato with a bit of rice. About 1/2 cup all up.

Tonight was leftover Satay Beef (no fried rice) which was leftover from last nights dinner, which was leftover from lunch yesterday. I am so cheap to take out these days.

I am 13 weeks post op today.

3 months out.

Last night was 1 piece of pizza (sm - av size)

Tonight is going to be some teriyaki tofu.

9 weeks out ...

Slow cooked curry chicken, about 3 or 4 tablespoons with a tiny bit of steamed rice!

8 months out:

1 piece of tandoori chicken and six delicious black cherries for dessert. Cherries are so YUM at the moment! Its hard to stop at six!

I love this time of year, so easy to get all the ingredients organized and let hubby do the cooking.

8.5 mths out..

Beef in red wine casserole, baked sweet potato & broccoli...very nice it was too!

Small piece of lasagne, corn, peas and carrots.

Chicken schnitzel with salad

125 gm piece atlantic salmon

9 weeks out tomorrow.

I had 2 premiums with a boiled egg on them and a thin slice of ham, but could only get through one. It's funny how some days you can eat more than others!!

2 slices of homemade pizza (made on small pita base).
