| 1/2 packet of porridge for breakfast The usual tuna & salad for lunch Went out for dinner and had penne pasta in rose sauce with chicken and sundried tomatoes. Was a really big serve and they wouldn't make an entree size serve for me so obviously I didn't eat very much of it. On the way home we stopped at HJ's for a soft serve. I had a lick and remembered I don't like them anymore LOL.
Drinks - Lucky if I had 300ml of water yesterday and last night had a kahlua and milk

| Jacqui's right, Shanna - you're only newly sleeved. It wasn't until about 8 weeks out that I could even think of much besides what would go down, so don't be too hard on yourself. Give it some time, and when your tummy settles down a bit and you can eat a little more is time enough to worry about that. Chris | |

| yes but shanna you were only sleeved in september - i was nibling frequently for a while and it just took a while to ease back into meals every three hours and a few snacks. i still have some days when i eat too much too frequently but it's usually at TTOM when i seem to be so hungry. give yourself time to adjust...
Bre - half a chicken, salad and avocado sandwich Lunch - half a chicken, salad and avocado sandwich Snack - reduced fat latte no sugar Dinner - homemade shepherds pie with vegies, glass red wine, half a dinner roll with a little butter
Drank - Water through the day.
Fairly happy with yesterday - not "perfect" but balanced - vegies & protein at every meal and a little bit of treat too.

| Truth of it is I nibbled on something every two hours - nothing that had a lot of calories but looking at everybody else's list I think I am eating too often so today I am really going to concentrate on eating just 3 meals and maybe 1 snack instead of two. So far= breakfast - 1 glass of skim plus milk. | |

| Yesterday for me was OK, but not fantastic. Friday was a killer as we ordered Pizza (although I ordered a small seafood, which had very little cheese)
Anyway yesterday.
Breakfast - 1/2 cup museili flakes with low fat milk and 1 tsp sugar (10am) Lunch - 1 very small wedge of seafood pizza (midday) Snack - 5 water crackers with camanbere'(spelling, you know the solf french one) cheese or cheddar cube and 4 cashews (visiting a friend 3pm) Snack - 1 cruskit with hommos (son cooking but started late so needed something while waiting) 7pm Snack - still waiting - very naughty - about 2 dessert spoons black forrest cake (very yummy) 8pm Dinner - finally 10.30pm (in the oven at 8.45 took about 1 1/2 hrs to bake) - 1 small slice (about 1/2 cup) home made egg and bacon pie (very yummy - son good cook - home made from scratch pastry as well) very filling. Probably equivalent to 1 egg, 1 rasher bacon a bit of cheese and the pastry + bbq sauce (have to have sauce with eggs and bacon)
Fluids - 1.5ltr water (with a touch of applie juice for flavour) 1 cup of tea (with low fat milk + 1 tsp sugar)

| just to let you all know re previous recent entry (see below) I have nothing to worry about...i went to my ww meeting this morn and had lost 1.7kg this week.....fantastic...nothing to stress about...I am losing once again. My weightloss consultant adv me that as I was doing so much exercise in previous weeks and not eating my full amount of kj each day day that my body goes into storage/starvation mode and therefore was not losing weight for couple of weeks. I did not do any jogging this week but some walking as I thought I had hit a plateau and wanted to do something different. She adv that to do lighter exercise than what I was doing (as it was quite intense for my size)so that my body is not constantly asking for more fuel and feeling hungry...so no more jogging for me but some nice light walks by the beach would be great and as long as I am exercising regularly then I am remaining motivated and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She reminded me that I should not be trying to starve my body but continue to track a good eating regime which is balanced...I suppose she is right....I dont want yo yo anymore I just want a total change of lifestyle now..... I can snack and eat my meals as long as it is controlled and not overeating at any point. NO more optislop for me!! | |

| with such limited quantites we can eat it is so easy to slip into grazing. It is the only down fall we can slip into and have to watch. I had one of those days today. Kids kept offereing me things and my mouth kept taking them like stupid stupid thing I was. I can not really gain weight from them but it so will not help my weight move which I want it to do again.
I supose I am saying you can necer harm yourself eating to your fill 3 times a day, it is what slips inbetween that can sneak up and bite you big time when you want the kgs to fall off.
I would seriously save the optifast and the serious calorie watching stuff for when you actually need to trimm a few calories to lose that last 10kg. everybody, well just about everybody has to work at that last 10kg with some form of diet and exercise, so best to actually have some place to go. My last 16kg are my stubborn ones but hey I got a free ride for well over 40kg so can not complain :)

| Wow Nicole! you seem to eat such a good amount...good on you! I am happy for you and your huge weight loss so quickly! Your almost at your goal already that is just simply amazing!!!!! Perhaps I should not compare myself with such a good result otherwise I could slip into envy or jealousy quite easily and I really hate feeling that way.....
Chrisbychic well done on getting rid of all the junk food in the house ...I know the feeling...I bought a packet of tim tam's today for my kids as a treat.....big mistake......i had the best of intentions..... but managed to eat 3.5 of them ohhhh sooo easily....if I hadnt bought them in the first place i would have been alright.
I suppose I do look at how much I used to eat...before I could have eaten all the tim tams to myself quite easily before I returned back from the shops and slipped the wrapper in the bin for no-one to see!
I love that potato bake recipie too its my favourite at the moment. You have inspired me to get the coconut one...mmm sounds good and healthy too!!!

| Oh, aren't we a wicked bunch? Can you see how much we eat? Do you remember how much we (I) ate before? It just cracks me up that we're so worried about how much we eat now! Sometimes - the rest of the time, I worry about it too!!! Let me know how this goes for you, Charmaz - I've done the odd day or two on Opti myself, usually after I've had a blockage though. I'm going to follow your good example - hubby's had lots of junk food in the house over the last week or so, but I've told him that's got to stop now, and he agreed, so hopefully it will be a little easier for me too. Let's work together to get this weight loss show on the road! Chris Oh, BTW, I tried that potato recipe you put up tonight - it was so delicious! I used the Carnation Light & Creamy Coconut flavour, which added a lovely flavour to the potato too. | |
