| Caz- you are getting to be a regular fixture at the malls and department stores on the weekends LOL. But what a wonderful problem you are having! Enjoy the shopping again this weekend.
Bushgirl- good on you for running again- and surviving. Bet he makes you do more than 10 laps next time.

| How wonderful Caz and I totally agree. A great excuse to do some credit card damage.
I see you're just sitting on the cusp of being in the 70s. That's so awesome. Congrats to you.
Good one on the running BG. You're awesome too.

| I am so slack - I'm currently losing weight without any structured exercise. I really need to do more than chase my grandchildren around the place!
Congratulations on the running - you make me feel ashamed!

| Well Done Caz!
Today I ran (more than a step) for the first time in 10 years... Probably a good thing, seeing as I hope to do city to surf next year! But my trainer made me run about the group hall 10 times... whipcracking punisher that he be...

| Couple of NSVs today.
1. Am now officially 'overweight' instead of 'obese'. Whoo hooo.
2. Just went to buy some new pants. Just had to - everything looks like elephant britches (no offense to the elephants out there). I got 3 pairs in the DJs sales. First pair which fit but are on the roomier side are size 14. The other 2 pairs which fit but are on the snugger side are size 12. I can't remember the last time I was consistently a size 12 (and yes I know sizes are bigger these days, but still!) I am now contemplating the fact that I may even get down to a size 10 if I get below 70 kg which I'm aiming for.
So wardrobe is getting a hammering on the weekend! More of a clean out. But heaven help me when summer comes. I have absolutely NOTHING to wear for summer. I am so pleased my darling girls promised me $300 worth of clothes as my 60th present - I'm waiting till summer to get them.

| Just have one of my own... This morning at the gym, I finished my workout, and was stretching my legs, as they get crampy otherwise, and low and behold I could do the quad stretch without having to use a bench! (quads stretch- holding your foot behind your bum to stretch the front thigh muscle) I have not been able to do that without using a bench to put my knee on since I don't know when!!!! I was excited... had to share with my lovely freinds who know how it feels! thanks! | |

| Wonderful news FG. One less drug is a milestone in anyone's book.
I'm like Caz and take more supplements than drugs now. A fact I don't mind at all. The drugs I do take, apart from the Somac, are a life long commitment so I'm totally happy to continue taking them.

| I'm really really pleased. Not only does it mean that I don't have to fill my body with as many drugs but it also means that my chances of a heart attack and stroke are considerably reduced. | |

| How fantastic FG - that is the best sort of NSV you can have and way better than the just cosmetic ones.
Well done! Oddly enough I'm taking more stuff now than before - but it is all vitamins and supplements.

| Today I had a big NSV - I was officially taken off my BP medications.
This has been the first provable sign that the surgery has improved my health.
I think I'll be on the Nexium (Losec) for a while yet, but I'm looking forward to a meds free lfestyle.

| Good for you Caz. In particular having a hubby who knows you need new clothes and is willing to take you shopping for them. You certainly picked a winner. Does he do anything wrong or have you lucked out and picked the perfect man? LOL.

| Well done Janey!
I just had a similar thing. I have a few pairs of jeans from various weights that I tried on a few weeks ago during the big throw out. Some were too tight and others firm and some fitted. I had basically been wearing just one pair all the time and decided to expand the repertoire so to speak.
I decided to try them all on and sort them into "fits now" and "fits soon" if they were a bit firm. It actually ended up being "bit on the large size now but can wear for a while" and "fits perfectly". Not one pair was too big.
My wardrobe has never had less clothes in it as it does now, and hubby is taking me to DFO to do a small top up on the weekend. I'm still keeping any bigger clothes I really love to have taken in when I reach goal - and will try and manage in the meantime.
But a nice NSV!!! And totally unexpected.

| I finally have one of my own to add.
I bought a pair of dress pants from Target in a size 18 and when I tried them on they wouldn't come on past my butt. Today they are all the way up and I can fasten them if I breathe in. So another kilo or two and they should fit perfectly. Yay.
I'm so glad I bought the smaller size and hopefully I will get some good wear out of them for the rest of the Winter. I just need to get myself a decent coat now to see me through this cold spell.
