| I'm six months out and decided to try a "new" recipe last night ... French Toast (made with Sourdough)! So easy and yes, it was a very lazy dinner after a great weekend. Tasted pretty good too. | |

Yumm!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You all eat sooooo well.
I am 5 days out and still on liquids. I had a homemade pea, potato and cauliflower soup with a dollop of greek yoghurt. Couldn't finish it, but enjoyed every tiny mouthful.

| I went out with a friend today, got the thigh pieces children's meal at nando's. I had two pieces of chicken (about the size of a large nugget each), which was very soft and tender, and about 4 chips. I gave the rest to my friend to enjoy with his soup lol.
It was such a lovely day out.

| I am 2 weeks from my 1year anniversary and I had chicken, bacon pasta minus pasta lol. Probs about 1/2 cup full, and that was forced.
I hate these meds, as I feel sick all the time and just don't feel like eating at all.

| Tonight I shared with my two daughters, Thai vegetarian green curry (with tofu) with coconut rice from our local takeout.
I had probably half a cup with about 4 teaspoons of rice.
THEN I had a small scoop of icecream, with 1/2 a banana for desert.
I forgot to eat breakfast this morning, which was a mistake, because I snacked on chicken crimpy biscuits all day, drank two glasses of champagne while I floated in the pool, and forgot to eat lunch, and that's not good! See what happens when you get busy? You forget to eat! By 6PM I was hungry, but I didn't feel like cooking. Hence the takeout!
Had a vitamin pill though!

| I am nearly at 9 months post op and last night went to a ball. I had some sour dough bread and butter, Entree was a small roll of pasta with riccotta and ??? not sure but was yummo! Ate about 1/2. Dinner was rack of lamb with I think roasted mediterainian veges. I ate x1 lamb rack - well chop or whatever, it contained x1 bone. Dessert was flourles choc gateau with white choc and milk choc mouse with salted caramel ice cream and a caramet sauce topped with a sugar basket (notice how I remember to perfection what was for dessert!! LOL) I ate just under 1/2 - DH ate the rest. I also had many, many glasses of wine. Fantastic night!!!!! | |

| Wellllllllll..... Great choices everyone, its dinner time again, and I am hungry!
How interesting is all this? We can all eat more or less normally, depending on the length of time we have been sleeved.
I am off to fire up the BBQ because I feel like a sausage and salad, and it is such a nice day! I might even indulge in a glass of wine tonight.
7 months, three weeks out and I feel FINE!

| I'm almost 11 weeks post op. I had a 'chicken-izza', using a recipe from a friend who has also had the sleeve. Chicken breast is bashed with a rolling pin to make it pretty thin (and replaces the bread base), with a layer of tomato pizza sauce and sprinkled with mozzarella. I had between a third and a half of a small chicken breast. | |

| I had two tablespoons of beef strips, stir fried and mixed with quinoa, onion, garlic and bell peppers. Quinoa is yum and high in protein low in carbs, beef is palatable and it went down well! I have to find dinners that are tasty enough to be yum, bland enough to be easy on the tum and no chicken as I seem to be incapable of eating it! Quinoa is my new fave- you can apparently make porridge out of it as well!

| Great thread!
I am 12 months out, and going to a BBQ and my accomodating family will have chicken for me as i can no longer stomach (lol) sausages on the bbq. I would normally eat about 2 tenderloins and vegies. No longer tempted by potato bake which was a must for me pre op, and a BIG first and second helping of it.
I admit guilt free that i will be indulging in a drink or few. Wild Turkey American Honey on the rocks is my drink of choice. Pre op was the same bourbon with a mixer of normally lemonade or coke. In spirit of this thread i can happily and honestly say i dont miss out on anything. Send off for my family member who starts opti on monday!

| Being in Singapore we went out to dinner (Chinese). Had 1 duck spring roll (yummy), and three pieces of "Guitar Duck" (no idea why it is called that) plus a couple of thin pieces of pork belly chinese style. And one mouthful of glass noodles and a few beans. Then about 1/4 of a mango sago dessert. Very nice.
I was stuffed full - I am 2 years 9 months post-sleeve.
