Hi Breathless, You are doing really well. I personally think 9.4Kg is a hell of a lot to lose in four weeks wether it's doable or not! Don't be too hard on yourself and still set realistic goals. So long as you are having protein in every meal and a little bit of exercise, it will come off. I only lost 0.5Kg this week and I immediately think, 'Not good enough!' How ridiculous ... it's still a loss. We need to get rid of our 'fat thinking.' xxx

| Chick yes a definite I have taken my measurements today and although my weight loss has been very slow I am killing it in the centimeters lost 80.5 but yet only 13.7kgs over 2 mths.
Muscle is a lot more dense then fat I have been walking heaps since the op I rarely did exercise before I feel good a lot more strength and energy. Start taking measurements don't just rely on scales.

| Well Done to all of you....it doesn't matter if you only lose 200 grams. It's 200 grams that you are likely to never see again.
Or you can think of it as losing a food item off your body.....200 grams...that possibly the equivalent of losing a Big Mac off your butt.
Ooohhh....imagine a 1kg loss being the same as losing 5 burgers. One burger from each boob, one from each butt cheek and one from your belly.
If you want to feel like a million bucks....go to the fruit shop and try to lift a bag of potatoes equivalent to what you have lost. That will put the spring back into your step.
Keep up the great work. | |

| Thanks Kiley. Im glad someone else is weighing in most days...I was starting to feel obsessive compulsive lol
Good luck with your op in August.
It really has changed my life. I wish I had this much time when the kids were younger, now I have to find something to do. In summer I will walk etc, but now in winter have decided to do a Diploma course at TAFE that should keep me busy.

| I'm a daily weigher Breathless and for me it teaches me about my body. For instance I know a good day takes a couple of days to show on the scales, I know that if I have subway for tea I weigh heavy the next day (don't ask me why:/), i know i will stay the same or even up for a few days hen suddenly i would have lost a coupleof kg's! most of it has to do with water retention and your body being in shock. even after this surgery your weight will fluctuate so weigh yourself daily if that is what you want but don't get too wrapped up, tomorrow you ya ill prob lose that plus some :) | |

Week 11 Post Op for me and down 20Kg in total which is a great feeling:
Start 116Kg
Today 96Kg (have lost 1kg per week last two weeks.) Thanks Hellokitty but am I losing enough? I told friends to remind me that I struggled to lose .1 a week I should be happy with any loss...right? But I gained! Im weighing myself every day in the morning after my shower...yesterday I gained .7!! I had a shake for breakfast, a third of a yoghurt for morning tea, 2 teaspoons of spinach and chicken pureed and a tomato cup a soup, then for dinner I had another 2 teaspoons of spinach and chicken puree and a soft boiled egg.... Is it because Ive started eating purees? and now off the liquids? Today I lost .2... I cant see being under a 100kg by week 4 my first goal. I weighed 109.4 op day so thats 9.4kg in 4 weeks is that doable? anyone?? Okay go on tell me...DONT WEIGH EVERY DAY! but how can I not when Ive taken this step, eating so little and trying so hard to use the tool I have now? Help!
