| Thanks ladies! This is like a gossip group at school!
Maybe out in the country, it is a bit different. Australia is a big place. There is a reason that Aussie Farmers go on TV to find a wife, its not that there are a lack of women in the country, its that a lot of these blokes spend all day talking to sheep, and not much else.
I have dated three farmers, and getting conversation out of them is like digging potatoes out of rock.
Maybe I need to move to a city to find a nice Aussie guy who can talk in more than monosyllables? Or crops?

| LMAO @ Gottarhyme, you are too funny girl. Now for my 2 cents worth, my hubby is a true blue dinky di Aussie bloke, but he's definately not a selfish lover. I think if you are lucky enough to score a good one then just go with it :-D
Cheers
Jed

| I thought I had had the blessed menopause without hot flashes because I had not had periods for many many months, but I have actually had mini ones since being sleeved. Darn.
I don't remember the answer to the second question - I hurt my back really badly the weekend before my operation, so I was suffering from a really bad back strain for several weeks after the op.

I have done the deed as such, but it was very uncomfortable, hence the reason why I'm asking. But hey, if it's all about me.. I have no problem with that at all!! I am an old wise woman now. At 50 I can say what I think. LOL! With my experience of Aussie men, I find on the whole they are not creative lovers, and many are just selfish. I would prefer no sex at all than having some bloke huff and puff then fall asleep. American men on the other hand...

| My periods have definately been heavier and longer than before, I am on the mini pill to control random, long lasting periods, have been for a couple of years, was doing a great job too. Not now.
Sex-wise, I waited until I felt comfortable, probably just over a week.

Second part: 2 weeks. | |

| I'm kind of dreading getting my period now... For the last 6 months or so, my period has been terrible. Going for 3 plus weeks at a time, super heavy (this does not sufficiently describe the flow.. but it's the nicest way I can say it!), but not many cramps. Never been a cramper.
If (from what I've read on other posts too) it's true about periods getting heavier.. Oh wow I am SO in for a treat by the sounds..! I may as well get in all the sex I possibly can now cos it sounds like I'm going to be on an oil change for the next 5 years haha.

| Hi LittleMissCee, I had the same thought abbot sex. 5 days post op and would have loved to give hubby a happy father's day. But unfortunately to answer your other question, I think my surgery brought on my period, day 1 post op and 'hello' thank goodness I had packed my hospital bag in case & wonderful drugs like morphine & endone helped with cramps and back pain. Normally I am light and 3-4 days, but this is heavier and still going. Loubylou...come on 44 isn't old, I have been married 21yrs and have a very adventurous life. I agree with Gottarhyme, there is more to it than just doing the deed. | |

| Actually...
I think that surgery is a great excuse for him to try some gentle pleasing of YOU. Tell him no 'rough and tumble' for a month, and ask him to get creative.
A little white lie to get some um...NICE attention that does not require actual penetration might be good for your sex life. Not everything is about 'the act' itself.

| Hi Luv, My first couple of periods was all over the place - but they were very heavy. Before sleeve surgery, I could tell exactly which day I would get my period.
As for the SEX - I am 44, so probably took a lot longer to get back into the groove than a young thing like you would!!
Just make sure you don't hurt yourself. Better safe than sorry.
Good luck xx | |

| I have 2 questions for you ladies... The first is, were you late or did you miss your first period after surgery? I was due for mine a few days ago, and am never. Ever. Late. My period was only ever late when I was pregnant. And the chance of that right now is slim to none! (partner works away) My other question is, how long after surgery did you have sex? I understand this is a very personal question in itself, so realize that this question may be ignored by many! | |
