| I was sleeved by Dr Talbot on September 24th so one week out still got some shoulder pain and a bit of the LHS stitch but seems to be easing.
How is everyone coping with the Puree diet? I have been trying some new things last couple of days and so far so good, been back to clinic today.
My problem is getting through the fluid!

Thanks, that gave me some relief.I'm not the only one going through with it!
Just want the stich to go away, i feel as though if a lightly press on it - it kind of goes away...
Oh well... it's not easy starting a new life i guess.

| Hi queenbee, Welcome. I was done by Dr Taylor 3weeks ago. I was given the same pain killer when I left hospital. I took 3 x doses of it at home and mostly at night so that I got a good nights sleep. I had the should tip pain but that seemed to dissappear after about a week and the same stitch (feels like a pinching) on the left side. I still get that pain every now and then but nothing that needs pain relief for. I have noticed it if I lay on my left side. I asked the surgeon about it and he drew a diagram of the stomach and explained it as, when you lay on your left it is like making your stomach fold the wrong way as it naturally curves to the right. Seemed very logical to me. It will all disappear very soon and you will only notice it a bit tender when bending over to pick things up etc. Best of luck, Carly | |

| Degas, I got the chewable mint flavoured ones and they really helped with gas pains. I had regular liquid panadol for the first week to help with my shoulder pain. | |

| Hi everyone! I'm a new member to this forum =) I'm 24 from Sydney, and DR Taylor did my surgery on Tuesday - 4 days ago.
Im at home now recovering, just wondering what people did to help with the shoulder pain?
Also, i feel like i have a 'stich' on the left hand side of my stomach.
Are these normal? Did anyone else have similiar pain?
