How long after surgery before you can have Sex?

It was only about 7 days and carefully due to husband had also had a herina op 4 weeks eailer. But for us it had been a long time waiting 7 days as we had even done the wild things within 4 days of having twins ( C sec ) I know the sercret to a great marriage.

To be honest, we both didn't mind waiting 5 weeks - I think we are both slacking off in that department - not a good sign !!

I still had a little discomfort after the op, and didn't want my cuts to open.

I/We lasted two weeks...., yep I got my sleeve 2 weeks and 2 days ago....

If it hurts, slow down and try something slower and more....

I hope this is not too personal, but I was wondering how long after your sleeve did you do 'the wild thing'??

I have been too scared because of the sharp pain I have been experiencing since the op and also that I might shake things up too much inside - lol

Anyway, hubby and I went away for a couple of lovely days (almost 5 weeks post op) and with a few sambucca's under my belt, we were away - and believe it or not, the pain has almost gone away - hahahaha.

ok girls maybe TMI! but i had sex the night i came out of hospital......day 4 oops Sorry Dr T..lol....was careful but all good...lmao!!!!! ( i don't think anyone ever told my husband about recovery times...)

If the heat gets a bit hard to handle just get some new batteries. Maybe organise some before you go into hospital so you have a nice reward post op. hahaha

hey no chance of myself falling pregnant, 48 and have had the chop,,, lol,,, i have lost 22kgs since feb,and have another 10 to go, and my weight loss has slowed down alot... but, the sex is better, i have a very conciderate hubby who is in no hurry....mmmmm lol. he has always says i am sexy be at 50kgs or 100kgs, gotta luv this bloke, but most of all its me that feels sexier and far more in the mood due to having lost the kgs, and i now go tapping him on the shoulder, lol,,,

We were doing the BD, only a week after. I am also very scary of falling pg, as that my normal habit loss 15 kg and get pg. I am now 40 kgs down (only 12 since the op) and I would hate to stop losing now due to being pg. I would like another bub though, so maybe after I'm under 100 kgs. I know I'm a bit . I frighten that I 'm getting to old to have one though. I am not so sure about having a child at uni and having a newborn.

Of course it's different for everyone, but 2 years out I can say that I mostly feel okay about my looks these days, but there are still times that the fat woman is at the forefront.

Having intercourse before my surgery hasn't been a problem for me atm, I feel quite insecure and disgusted with my body and can't stand looking at it. So I don't encourage my man in anyway, but thankfully he doesn't mind!
What a great guy! But I'm sure a couple months after surgery we'll be ready to go!

When do you start feeling confident about your body again?

We have discussed this earlier on long time ago and i believe for me i had made love i think

I am not sleeved yet, but I imagine as sson as the scars heal like Lib said.

i have a very caring hubby and he would not want to put me in a position (pardon the pun!) that would hurt me.

But as chrisby chic said, 'there are ways you can do the job without him leaning on your tummy!'

Hey, it's a valid question, and I think it's even been discussed before.
You're right - don't want to fall pregnant before the surgery! And they don't recommend you do so for about 12 months afterwards either, I believe.
Not that I'm suggesting you abstain for that long - heaven forbid!
As for how long after, I guess it depends on how you feel. For me it was several weeks before I could even think about it, but I'm also a slow healer. It wasn't the scars that worried me, but the discomfort inside. Not pain, just discomfort - but I just didn't want to chance it.
Of course there's more than one way to skin a cat...

As soon as your scars don't hurt anymore I'd think, although if he went gently, missonary, it might be ok, but this is a great excuse to not put out :P Milk it
