| Hi Ang,
I was given my op date before I had my first appointment with the surgeon.
I was communicating via email and he gave me a date (assuming everything went OK).
If your seeing Dr France you might be lucky to get a date up front.

| Hello, ang, and welcome.
I had to wait for ages to see my doc and get a surgery date, too, but I used that time to research well and make sure it was what I really wanted to do.
Also did Optifast for longer than usual, because I found I started putting on weight again - I didn't want to put on more before the op and just have to lose that much more!

| Well I've done it!
Made the first step,in I hope will be a lighter me.
My appointment is ages away, in Sept. My nerves are strung out and I haven't had the op yet.
Will get support from a friend who has had the sleeve done.
