| Sue- fantastic effort on those kitchen cupboards. So happy you are able to do things that you couldn't before. That is absolutely the best type of victory. Sallyanne- great on those size 14 jeans. Well done. Caz- Teenier lacy bits for the girls- gorgeous! Opus- Fantastic that you are seeing results so quickly. Congratulations! Belly- real size 14 jeans as opposed to today's vanity sizes. You must feel amazing. And the Wii being nice to you too. You are normal! (well, that's debatable LOL)
It's been a couple of days since I have been online and I can't believe what everyone has achieved. Big congratulations to all.

| Absolutely Sophia. I think manufacturers have bowed to the inevitable and made things more 'generous' over the years.
On a totally separate point, I have to tell you that I saw a preview for the USA Biggest Loser series, and having just come back from the USA, I have to tell you that the people on the show don't look overweight to me - they just look like everyone else. How sad is that!

| Great NSV everybody!!!! I am looking forward to joining the size 14 brigade soon, so wonderful for those who are here!
Hey, a question re clothes sizing. With some of my old "thin" clothes from years before I am sure that the sizes are an awful lot smaller than the current sizing (as per Belly's size 14 jeans being smaller than her current size 12's). Have other people found this as well - that clothes sizes have got bigger? Or is it due to changing styles?

| Well done Caz :) New underware is always so nice! And...You'll be right now if you get hit by a bus, lol! On the trail of yesterday's size 14 explosion.... The absolute smallest item of clothing i have is a 20 year old pair of Blues Union jeans. They are size 14, but they are old, and they are high waisted, like come up to your ribs high waisted not the odd things they call waist high pants nowadays. They are small!, smaller than any of my freshly purchased 12's. I had a...ahhhh what the hell, try em on...moment this morning. The button didn't meet by a good 4" a few weeks ago. They fit! THEY FIT!!! The smallest thing in the bottom of my cupbeard and i got them on!! And there was no crack creeping involved!! No breathing in till i can't breath! Nothing weird...they just fit! I rushed down stairs in my bra and best ever jeans and did the 'your mothers gone insane' dance around the study. LOL! Even the unimpressable teenage daughter was impressed! That was 3 hours ago, i'm still grinning like a fool now, LOL! But wait...there's more... This morning the Wii Fit ticked over into IDEAL WEIGHT. It was right up the top of Obese when i got it for Xmas last year!. So i'm grinning like 2 fools! The full sized version of this is in my gallery it you want to have a look :) |

| Congrats all. For me it's been a week post op. My pants are already loose, I'm ready to go down a size. I'm swimming in some of my shirts.... and people notice!
My pleasant surprise is that I notice a change in my face. I don't have as round a face and my double chin is fading away!

| Another NSV for me - they seem to be coming thick and fast.
The bras I have been wearing are very old and manky - and about a month ago I tried on some other ones I had bought but never worn. They were too tight around the back so put them aside.
Then I decided I had to do something so bought some extenders yesterday to extend the back. Put it on the bra, tried it on this morning, and it was WAY too big. So took the extender off and I can now do the bra up on the second hook!!!
I feel much better supported and less grotty!!!
I'll try all the other ones on over the weekend - there are at least 3-4 more that may fit now too.

| I have a different NSV might not be something everyone can relate to but for me its a big thing. Today i have cleaned out all cupboards in my kithcen and sorted and chucked things and relined all the shelving and drawers im very happy and proud of myself for this i have not been able to something like this in about the last 10 to 15 years. Why heres why i have head 4 back ops i have arthritis all through out my body i have knees that give way i have fibromyliega (cant spell) and diabetes (which i dont have anymore)and something like that i could only have done over a week or more cause the pain would of been unbearable and i would of had to have morphine injection im am sore but its bearable i couldnt of said that before so havin this op and losing the weight has helped so much to be able to do my own cupboards not someone else its put me on a high I love my tiny tummy Cheers Sue | |

| Totally agree with you Belly. I don't enjoy the "builder's crack" look either. Nor do I enjoy the current trend with young men to wear their jeans lower than their undies.
My Loren's love does this and I am constantly stopping myself wanting to go over and hitch the damn things up. Since when did undies become so wonderful that they need to be on show 24/7 and the crotches of jeans need to be about an inch above the knee? Bad look.
Give me a pair of pants that reach my waist and stay there for the whole day anytime. Granny undies anyone? LOL.

| oh..i want to join the 14 club too... How about my 14 hipsters wouldn't stay up without a belt yesterday. I have come to the conclusion that i hate hipsters. Whats the appeal in them. They don't stay up, they are either so tight you grow your own muffin, and really, anything that reminds me of a muffin is a bad thing ;) or they won't stay up. Strange fashion trends. Give me my above the hip/just below the waist (low riders?) any day. Least they stay where you put them! To all you girls who have such wonderful NSV's lately. You can't help but smile when you open this thread :) |

Congrats on the 14s.
