| Subject: Dr Ticked Acute/Chronic pain instead of Life Threatening. What should I do. Fri 14 Oct 2016, 3:21 am | |
| Hi All, I've finally trying to go ahead with accessing super to pay for my wls having gone through all the tests requested by my surgeon. My question is: My surgeon has filled in the forms stating I have a life threatening condition, but my GP has ticked chronic pain, as she does not think a BMI of 37, with comorbidities (hypertension and high cholesterol) is life threatening (go figure) yet these are the conditions she has written to support chronic pain??? Should I put in the two forms, or should I got to another GP and hope they select life threatening, very disappointed, as I thought she was pro-surgery. I'm afraid that having two contradictory forms stating the same co-morbidities will work against me Any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks Ness | |
