| Hi Ginka Thanks for the info - I'll check it out. I need to see a psychiatrist to get my meds right - chronic major depression and anxiety disorders. I am very familiar with CBT, and have used it for many years, but there's no fighting the genes, apparently. I like psychologists, too, and have seen many throughout the years. | |

| Hi Chris
Some years back I saw Nicola Encel for anxiety and she practices out of an office on 83 Currie Street, in the heart of the city. I found her very valuable, but I note that her office also specialises in other areas as well, such as eating disorders. More info is here www.adtc.net.au/adelaide
I note that she is a psychologist though, not a psychiatrist. I have seen a Psychiatrist before and found that they liked to medicate more than fix the original wounds. Cognitive Behaviour Thereapy or CBT worked really well for me. | |

| I would recommend Bower Place. It s in Gawler Place rightin the heart of the city. They have psychologists and a psychiatrist. Female. Very nice. Not weight loss specific though - I'm not sure if this is a factor for you.

Hope this helps

| Hi everyone
We have just moved from Melbourne to Adelaide, and I'm having trouble finding a psychiatrist. The local GP, who we saw for the first time today, gave me a name and number, but it turned out to be a child psychologist, so no help there.
Does anyone have a recommendation?
Thanks
