| I will keep that date free! I would love to come along! :-)
I am still finding my feet in the forum, I was never good at using this layout, but will get used to it and better at it...

| Welcome, Nicole! There's a sleevers party in Melbourne on 2nd September - started with a few of us flying in to meet up and I think it's growing! Come along if you want to say hi in person :) There'll be a post about it closer to the date. | |

| Thanks CrazyBexta and Vegas!! I do feel fabulous about having taken the first steps and making the decision and starting the planning... There were many things I was not aware of, the pain, the optifast pre diet, the hair loss... so this forum is power in knowledge.
So it's day 1 of health insurance! Not long to go now LOL!!
I look forward to getting to know some of you well.

| Welcome niccibicci,
A lot of people on the forum have had to wait for their PHI but if time flies for them, like it has for me, your wait won't seem so long in the end.
As for getting your head around it, I think everyone on here has had majorly conflicting emotions. Don't want to be obese, but I am taking on life long, life changes that are irreversible. It is not a small step.
I am 24 days away from my surgery date and I continue to think "should I, shouldn't I?" I'm thinking of playing he loves he he loves ne not stlye of game but leaf by leaf with a large bunch of parsley.
Good luck on your journey.
Cheers, Janet | |

| Ditto on the welcome nicole...the 12 months really will fly by...and there's such a wealth of information and stories on this site that the reality is you still won't have finished reading even half of it!
Good luck as you count down over the next 12 months...we will look forward to hearing from you more over the next 12 months.

| Hi everyone, I am so happy to have found this lovely place!!
I have just made the decision to be sleeved... it that the right jargon??
I went to see a specialist (Urun Dhir) last week, and after discovering it was a 4-5 year wait on the public list, signed up for health insurance, so I have a year to wait. Plenty of time to prepare!
I feel so happy knowing this is in my future and weighing over 120kilos will not be my forever future!!
I have lurked a bit, and want to thank all the lovely people who share and support each other!!
