| Just WAIT until you are at goal! You will have your revenge, and until then, sit on them until you hear a crunching sound. | |

| Aw smurfette, I'd like to give your colleague a cuddle - she sounds so sweet. What a great ally to have. It really throws people off kilter when the fat person in their life isn't anymore. It's bad enough when you become as slim as they are, but then when you surpass them ... well that's a whole other story. Most people have good intentions, but jealousy can do strange things to a person. | |

| Mamaraptor, good on you.. keep on being positive; I agree with everyone's answers so I will not repeat. I need to say though some skinny girl (size 6 never been overwieght type) understanding. The only skinny girl at my work place is the ONLY one that has ever commented (the others now totally ignore me as if jealous, still have to work this out) on my great weight loss and has been sooo supportive to me. I must have looked at her odd the first time as she replied; "I know how hard it has been for my mum over the years to loose weight and with my support she has finally succeeded; I am right behind you"; I nearly cried after all the adverse reactions I was and still am getting at work. | |

| So true, people who have never had a weight problem just have no idea and they never will. One person said to me, just stop putting food in your mouth. Yeah, right. Keep up your positive attitude and don't let it get to you. Tell whoever you want if that is what your comfortable with. I am an open book and tell anyone who asks how I've lost weight. I honestly don't give a rodents behind what people think of me. Who are they anyway?? My family and close friends are who matter to me and they are all supportive and actually they think I am very brave for having this surgery. I don't see it as brave but just life saving. | |

| Yeh, J said it!
Thats why I told so few people, I have seen people comment, judge, criticise people who have had the sleeve done and they have no idea, it helped me to stay quiet!
Good luck, I do love your humor though!! well done!

| Well I guess this is one way to learn the lesson of "be careful who you tell"
It's great you aren't letting them get to you though, keep at it you will have the last laugh :)

| Ah, so today I am laughing! Which is probably a lot better than what half of us normally want to do in this circumstance (a smack? a slap? a punch?).
Today the girls at work have decided its "lets get mamaraptors butt into gear and convince her out of the surgery" day. These girls are all size 6-8. It has gone something like:
- "Why don't you just try harder?"
- "I don't understand why you can't just go to the gym more?"
- "Surely doing weight watchers or something is easier?"
- "There is something wrong with you if you have to cut yourself open to lose weight".
My personal favourite today was when I was whinging about opti. One of the girls had a nibble on the bar and is now saying "Im going to do the opti diet! Two weeks on that diet is nothing!" Then looking at me like I'm crazy for hating being on opti. I am almost rolling in the aisle imagining them giving up day two or three...
Honestly, what is wrong with people that they have to stick their nose in? Yes, i shouldn't have really told them but honestly, do they think telling you to try harder is going to win them any points?
Naturally skinny people will NEVER get it...
