| I get drunk wayyy more quickly than I used to, and I can't drink as much either. I have pushed myself to the limit quite a few times now, and I can now get to a point where I can't physically drink ANYMORE! lol
Wine is not good for me - I get very drunk, very quick.
Beer is okay.. I normally have maybe 4 in 2 hours every night & I'm fine. Although, I had probably 24 on Friday night at our work xmas party and I was not fine then lol.
Spirits - I have only had once since having surgery, and hardly even got tipsy after drinking an entire bottle (over the whole day).

| I had 6 drinks at 5 weeks post op. It took me over 6 hours to have all those drinks ... I couldn't drink them fast like I used to and I didn't even get tipsy. | |

| I didn't have a drink for the first few months after my surgery, but then I had a glass of wine at a xmas party last year and WHAMMO, I was pissed! It was crazy. I had to go to the park and sit down for a few hours before going home. Luckily that didn't last, and I can drink a glass of wine without these consequences. Wine is the worst for me still, when I have spirits and diet coke I can drink 3 or 4 of those for the same effect of 2 glasses of wine.
All in all it doesn't really matter, I'm not a big drinker. Usually it amounts to one glass of wine after work per fortnight or when I'm out for dinner and I always have to drive home anyway so never any more.

| Yes very common; I would have one drink and drive before op; now I will not have one mouthful and drive; I feel very tiddly after a few mouthfuls; but hey it is cheaper when socialising. | |

| Not for me here, but my friend who also had the surgery.
She has noticed that her tolerance to alcohol has diminished since surgery and she feels the effects of the alcohol a lot faster. She wanted to know if this is a common side effect.
