| Thank you Xo
The Dr was a Gastroenterologist. I need to remember his name, but I know that the procedure he did to fix it was relitively new and he is the only one that can perform it. Will get back to you! :0).

| hey larns5 So glad to see that you are home . You'll recover so much better there. Really really really hope that this is the last time you have a leak. So do they think the small leak/void will repair/resolve itself? sending big hugs and all good vibes | |

| Well I have been discharged again, and am home (yippeeeeeeeee).
They still think i have a small leak, but that it isnt causing any damage(????) so hve allowed me home and without my naso-tube!
I have to go back to them in a month and sometime between now and a months time head back to my surgeon for a follow up. So i will plod along.. I still have the drain in my stomach and a bag collecting it on the outside of my tummy, but i will live life around it i guess.

This is just crap ,how can this happen so often. I really feel for you ! I understand totally why you are so unhappy.
I asked my surgeon the process which was removal and 3 rows of staples and glue over the incision ...not stitching.
I hope it isnt jelly.....
Is it time to get a second opinion? I dont know whether you have gone down this road.
Keeping you in my thoughts and hope it gets better soon.

| Bloody hell, Larns! You poor thing. I think you'd best tell them to use superglue next time - obviously the needles are leaving holes behind them! Got all the fingers and toes crossed for you, and sending lots of get well thoughts. | |

| They fixed it!!I started on my fluids and wouldn't you know it, I have something in my drain bag thatlooks suspiciously like orange jelly, the same thing I consumed last night. So back nil by mouth and off for a bigger stay in hospital and most probably put my Naso-gastric tube back in!! I'm sooooooo upset :(

| Good luck for the op., Larns :)
I've spoken with a lady who had a leak and was in hospital for many months, but now she is all mended, and still says it's the best thing she's ever done - I hope you have the same happy outcome/results.
Cheers, W2B :) | |
