| Ooooh Bowral just beautiful, my friend recently did the tree change from Sydney to Burradoo I keep drooling over the houses on domain... if only they a direct train into the CBD for hubby! I'm glad you can still drink coffee as I live off the stuff and fresh soups from woolies are yum, there is a gorgeous lamb one from the organic brand. Good suggestions on how to avoid the food, plus I'm sure hubby will help me out. Maybe I should also bring some paper napkins chew a mouthful and subtly transfer to napkin that way people think I am eating... Feeling a bit more confident about it was just so worried as I love to socialise and associate food and wine with it..which will have to change soon! | |

| April in Bathurst/Orange means quite cool . . . surely there will be soup by then.
Oh well, there is always a coincidental family function or last minute visiting aunt to invent. So you go but don't have to stay long. Table hop, never be where your food is. Offer to be the photographer.

| Hi Christina,
I feel fine, I'm deliberately away from home so I don't spend all day gardening, and also I live 5 hours from surgeon. But I have chosen well as Bowral is much cooler than at home, which means I am comfortably drinking my fluids (I got told by surgeon to add a little cordial to make it easier - it's my top tip) and tea, coffee etc. and don't need more due to heat.
I've been walking around and into town, probably spending way too much time window shopping. Naps were fairly essential last week, but I'm napless today and not tired. I hopped on the treadmill in the gym here last night because I felt like a walk, but it was almost dark . . . Only did 20minutes but felt better for it.
My tummy isn't sore, I'm not having reflux (because that's what the nexium is for, and it's working). I'm eating yogurt, protein drinks, opti and soups (even if it's a woolies pre made sell soup with chicken added then blended). I've had brekkie a couple of times at a cafe - because I found one that does protein smoothies.
Tomorrow will be a long day, but Friday is post op visit . . . scales eek!!

| Hi Karyn, Just had a look at the menu and it is all pizza although there was only maybe 10 choices and it said to order at the bar so I'm hoping they might have just done a buffet type thing where I can avoid eating! It is a really basic wedding as they are building a house out near Bathurst. I'm wondering how to ask politely what she has planned hmmm... I love your coeliac excuse and will definitely use that one lol! How are you feeling generally after the op? Excited about having a date for surgery but it seems so far away at the same time. | Hmm, is there soup on the menu as well? Because pizza toppings even will be outside your little tummy's training diet.
I was sleeved on the 4th, and it'll be the 17th tomorrow. In an interesting twist of fate I am meeting friends for a concert, but we're having dinner first . . . at a wood fired pizza place. I'll let you know how I go.
Today I had coffee while a friend at a bacon, lettuce tomato sandwich . . . And I had absolutely no desire to have some myself.
But bugger it, go anyway, even if you have to ask ahead for a special meal. Say you've been recently diagnosed with coeliac disease so you can't have pizza (and haven't liked gluten free bread mixes).
Karyn :-)

| Hi all, I am booked in to be sleeved on the 5th April! The dilema is a I have a wedding to go to on the 16th... now this wedding is special as the couple have been together for 14 years and we all thought they'd never marry but surprised us all. Now my question is what will I be eating and how can I get away with it ? It isn't a big sit down reception but it is in a woodfired pizza bar! If I put off the op the next free date isn't until the 5th May so a big gap and my little boys birthday is on the 15th May. Help! | |
