| Congradulations Sleeveme, I have 3.5 months to go and it seems like forever, I'm so glad I didn't have to do 12 months it would have killed me. | |

So many lists to write........

It is worth every $$$$$ let me tell you, cost me $6000 out of pocket and worth every cent to have my health and life back, which was just about in the toilet I am 5 weeks post-op and so so happy!!! Good luck with your journey.

| Hi Sleeveme
Yep I too can relate to 'mummy guilt' - but I was sleeved just over a year ago, and honestly I dont regret it for one minute.
I was also meant to be an Ahmad patient, but changed at the last minute to Dr Chandra, and let me tell you I am so glad I did. He is an excellent surgeon, and such a nice guy too.
Not long to go before you will be able to join the rest of us on the losers bench.

| Hi Sleeveme Congratulations on getting your surgery date. I was in the same situation 6 months ago but after a Perth sleevers get together and speaking to a couple of sleevers I chose to change to Dr Epari. My PHI wait is over on 18th Jan but due to work commitments I chose to get done on 15th Feb, so will only be a few days after you Cheers Colleen | |

| hi Sleeveme How exciting so close woohoo I have so say I felt the mummy guilts too especially as I was completely self funded and the other lovely people on this site told me the op is worth it and they were 100 % right Im only 5 weeks out but already the op has had a positive effect on my family life I have more energy I get in the pool with the kids instead of staying on the sideline Seeing and hearing my kids laugh with me as we play quickly makes that guilt disappear Tarnz | |

| It seems like I've been part of this site forever (well almost a year)......never posting just obsessively reading/researching/nosying. I have been waiting out my PHI 12 mth waiting period and on 11th Feb, less than 4 weeks away, it will all be over - and over to the losing side......finally!
I was originally going to be sleeved by Mr Ahmad, but he informed me only last month he won't be doing them anymore (only bands), so he has referred me to Dr Chandra. Met him last week.........and loved him. Got my date then and there.........so excited. Was a very big shock with the cost difference (Mr Ahmad=$0........Dr Chandra=$4000), but am trying to reassure myself that it'll be worth it to me and my family. Its a lot of money to us.....but they are being VERY supportive, I'm just trying to get rid of that 'mother guilt' and try and focus on me...just this once!
Sorry for the looooonnnng post.......but very excited!
