Thanks for the reply, I'm going to check a few stores when I get home. This weekend they are predicting hot 30+ weather, so I thought something nice and cold would be refreshing. I had my sleeve done 2nd Feb this year in Perth. it was hot. Very hot. Hideous. I hate summer here. And was moving furniture and running around 3 1/2 days later in preparation for my first Home Open (house went on the market) 10 1/2 days later. The enclosed patio thermometer only goes up to 50 centigrade, and it was stuck there, and that was where I was moving stuff out to. I found chilled, no added sugar, coconut water perfect. It also is a great re/hydration fluid with electrolytes. And if you do get/think you are getting dehydrated please have some Hydralyte/Gastrolyte . You could also try home made icy-poles, bought ones, ones made of Isopure that you made yourself e.g. out of watermelon etc :)

But I would imagine that these would be pricey little suckers.
Try a supplement megastore, and maybe something like Isopure which comes in fruity flavours.
But seriously, I wouldn't worry about it. And in this cooler weather a protein/meal replacement shake made, then poured into a cup and zapped in the microwave is easier to face than cold shakes. And your stomach might find it easier to tolerate than cold stuff (stomach spasm even when sipping fluids post-op is common). (I have had to go on to the above because I have lost TOO much weight at 7/12 post-op - !- and I am trying to get in sufficient protein and vitamins...). | So my Surgeon recommended Dr Tim's fruity punch protein shakes for after surgery, ( he said it tastes like watered down cordial, but has all the nutrition and protein you need post surgery ) trouble is I have found out I can only buy it from his office ( 45 minutes away ) or online ( which means I won't get it in time to take to the hospital with me ) It's to give you a break from the milky drinks, and it's a nice watery drink so it doesn't bloat you and it quenches your thirst too. I've been looking online for some other brands, so thought I would ask you lovely people if you have had anything like this.
Do you know of any other brands, I'm trying to find something I can buy closer to home so I will have some in time ( Surgery is Tuesday ) So I need to buy them tomorrow.
