Hi everyone!
I hope everyone is very well and happy!
I am 1 week post op today and just grateful to be on the other side, feeling a little better every day :)
A bit about me: I'm 35, very happily married, Mum to 2 boys. I've yo-yoed (for vanity) for over 10 years, since the pregnancies of my 2 sons. However 6 weeks after the birth of my 2nd son, I developed a brain lesion and demyelination. For anyone in the know, these are "potentially" signs of MS or another auto immune problem. Getting healthy suddenly became my #1 priority. So... many tests, specialists, traditional and alternative treatments later, I made the choice (with my doctor) to get my weight under control, once and for all. "If" my symptoms progress, I don't need to be struggling with my weight too.
I know the sleeve isn't magic, there's a long road ahead of me and anything could happen in these early days. But I'm ready to do the work and get as healthy as I possibly can to live the best life possible while I'm here!
As they say, be the best version of you that you can be! And I'm trying :)
Keep smiling :D
