| yoodles, I had the band. Back when I had it, it was more popular. I wish so much I'd gone straight for the sleeve. Oh to have my time over.
Good Luck.

| Hi, I'm in the northern suburbs so essendon would be perfect, or the city. Would prefer not to trek to the eastern suburbs, but I have just read that the follow up for this op is minimumal compared to the band so a few trips across town wouldn't worry me - every month or so would be too much! | |

| Hi Yoodles!
What area are you in? My surgery was highly successful, had no pain and was back to normal in 7 days. I was sleeved about 6wks ago and my surgeon does both sleeves and bands. He does bands in one hospital and sleeves in another (with an icu). He is in based in both Essendon and Heidelberg . Let me know if you want his details. The main thing is research, research, research!
Good luck! Andie |

| Hi and welcome to the forum. I would definitely do some more research before going ahead with your band. I love my sleeve, and NEVER considered a band. Actually through the first referral for banding in the bin!! It was a path I didn't want to take. Good luck with your research and journey. | |

| Hi I have been lurking here for quite some time. I was scheduled to get the band next week but have decided to postpone and do a bit more research into all my options before committing one way or the other.
I am scheduled to go back to my doctor next week as the first referral was to a doctor who only does bands. I am assuming it would be better to go to someone who does both so both options can be explored.
I am so scared and excited right now, especially about complications, but I a more scared I won't get to see my young daughter grow up.
I am off to do some more research! | |
