| J, totally true, long-term thinking. I was thinking if I can average 1kg a week then I'd be around goal in 12 mths. | |

| Nothing wrong with those numbers Nessa, just think if you average 1-1.5kg a week you'll be almost 60kg down in 12 months.
1st week post - 8kg 2nd week post - 4.5kg

| Hi Nessa
Your figures are really good. I've seen a few threads like this, people seem to have really high expectations immediately post op, but around the 2kg mark is amazing considering what our bodies have just gone through. Prepare yourself for a plateau too, it is all normal. It's a marathon, not a sprint :)
Relax knowing that you have a lot of weight loss ahead of you!

| I have lost: 4kg pre-op 4kg 1st week 2.4kg 2 nd week Your numbers seem good to me, you don't want to lose too much too soon, I expect the losses to slow down 0.5 - 1 kg p/w | |

| Hi Nessa,
I was sleeved very close to you (27/6) and have lost 2.4 the first week and now 2 days out from the official weigh in another 2.5 this week. I have lost exactly 9 kilos since starting the pre surgery optifast.
So looks like our losses compare pretty closely, good luck with the rest of it and hope you are not feeling as weak as I am!

| hi Nessa
These numbers look good to me, I started opti at 121kg and did 2 weeks opti and was 115.5 on date of op so lost 5.5kg then one week post op lost 3.3kg and 2nd week post op 2.3kg and then 1-1.5 kg every week since.
You are doing great,
Melissa | |

| One week post op I lost 3kg and today 2 weeks post op, 2.2kg.
Are these OK numbers?
I guess I was just hoping for bigger numbers.
Since starting OF pre surgery, I've lost 9.8kg in total.
