Lissa, I got mine released in under a month and it was delayed because I didn't date the form! LOL
Just make sure you follow their instructions strictly on what you need to provide and how the Surgeon writes up the letter of reason for needing the sleeve. I just scanned and emailed it through then called them every 10 days on the dot. The second time I called them they said it had been approved.
Don't wait until you get response in the mail as they deffo have snail mail system (took 2wks after I was told it was approved verbally to get the letter!). Just get your reference number and harass away every 10days so if you know you have to change something, do it then send back in asap.

Have now sent the Dept of HS letter off to my super and they release it within 30days.

I would be wary of paying upfront and then trying to get reimbursed by Super. It is my understanding that you can only access Super as there is no other way of paying for it out of savings, selling assets, loan etc.

It sounds like a REALLY long and painful process to access Super, so good luck to everyone that goes that way:)

oh my gosh that is a long time.

I will apply and see how i go.. I will pay up front myself and see if i can get super money back..

It took about 5 months.

If you do apply for it make sure you follow every single thing they outline 100% because they are pains in the ass!!

I received my money from my super fund this morning after having gone through the governments lonnnng crap process, so my wife paid Dr Greenslade (the surgeon) at lunch time and she's going to pay the QE2 (hospital) on Thursday......WOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'm happy, terrified & relieved all at once!!!!
