| Someone close to me was done in December and I kept checking to see whether she was really sure she wanted to do it! Was far more nervous for her than for myself....so totally understand your nervousness.... S | |

I have a friend who was done in January, and I admit to feeling nervous for her!! But she is well on her road to recovery, and I am so proud to be by her side while she does it! | |

| Hey Thankana, My hubby (Bones from January 2011) had his sleeve done on 25th Jan once he saw how well I was coping. It's been nothing short of FABULOUS for us! Bones is already down 16kg and has had not one complication from the day of the surgery. We've been lucky - no doubt about it! I'm sure you're hubby will do equally well - you know how quickly guys seem to lose weight! Bones sounds similar to your hubby in that he has had no trouble losing the weight in the past but keeping it off has proven to be the real issue over the last 15 years. He now has the knowledge and the safety of never putting the weight back on! He's been liberated and now eats a bit less than me cause I'm further out than him! I must admit it is a bit surreal watching him eat one tablespoon of mashed potato and feel full after spending the last 7 years watching him eat 1kg of meat, a bowl of mashed potato and 2 ltrs of Coke Zero in one sitting! Surreal but wonderful! Anyway, all the best for your hubby I'm sure it'll all work out! Cheers, B x | |
