| First topic message reminder :
Hey all, I was sleeved just over 12 months ago by Dr Smith at North Shore Private in Sydney. I was a self funded patient and spent a small fortune on my op. My hubby has recently decided he too would like to be sleeved to help with weight and other health issues... however as i am no longer working, we are looking for a cheaper alternative than the doctor i used so i would like to ask... for those of you who self funded what was the total cost of the proceedure and where/who did you have it done with???? Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated Thanks Kellie | |

| Thanks for your replies ladies :) Mine was done in sydney for just under 20,000 plus 5,000 to the tax man as i used my super... so 25,000 all up. We were hoping to find someone cheaper and fund it differently, but it seems like there isnt much difference in cost. Did a bit of ringing around today and have discovered we may be able to acccess hubbys super without much impact on current living so all is good :) Thanks again. Kellie ps.. if anyone out there had it done heaps cheaper let me know will you, thanks. | |

| Wow I should have flown over to Oz for mine! It was $25000 NZD at St George's Hospital in Christchurch. Although the exchange rate would have made it about the same in AUD so maybe not haha. | |
