The practice I'm using gives it to all patients. It's $39, so a small 'inclusion' along with the portion size suggestion book.

It'll be good to have a starting point, and a reference for when/if go off track slightly.

Portion Guide Plate Empty
PostSubject: Re: Portion Guide Plate   Portion Guide Plate EmptySat 08 Jan 2011, 9:58 pm

Hi,

I happily bought the book and the plate/bowl. I know within myself that i have a history of eating till i am full, as opposed to eating till i am satisfied. Like many I confused full with satisfied. So i bought the book/plate/bowl as a guide to my portiion sizes just to reassure myself i wasn't overdoing it and to help me ensure i have a balanced diet and dont skip my free veg. I am sure in time i will not need them, but i like the idea of having a guide.

Cheers

Bezza

I got them both and the book and used them pre op to get used to sizes. Dont tell anyone but it was also to help DH realise he can no longer load me up with "his" size meals! Portion Guide Plate 314562

Hi Slaps

Yes I did buy it and found it useful for some time.

The dietitian said it is a good tool to use.

So I got it and used it for a while until I got the hang of what I needed to do.

So, if you feel you would find it beneficial then go for it.

Nope, just use ordinary plates.
You will soon learn how much you can eat in one sitting.

Hi Team,

Dose anyone use the plate and bowl you can buy with portion sizes on it?

Was thinking of buying one but just wanted to know if it was a good purchase or not!

Thanks
