Just wondering if anyone has tried pilates or yoga post op and how they have found it? Also, how long after post op did you try?
I'll be getting sleeved in just under 3 weeks and do irregular 30 hour walks in the mornings (some weeks Im good, some weeks Im slack!), but I'd like to add a 'toning' exercise or two per week. My surgeon said walking is fine post op, but to not try weights before 4 weeks post op. I have a crosstrainer at home but it's mostly used as a clothes hanger in non-winter months! Not sure if cross trainer is a good idea first few weeks post op too.
I've always wanted to try yoga or pilates, but haven't felt confident/comfortable enough going to a studio/gym @ my size. I figure after losing a little weight on the opti diet, and 4-6 weeks post op I might try a couple of classes.
