Well said ... you must be onto something - unless I need to search for my glasses, I am sure I can see that you've reached your goal wait.

Just on the lighter side ... at the information session with the surgeon pointed out that one difference between the band and the sleeve was "on the sleeve you'll still be able to enjoy a vegemite sandwich" ... sold! He must have seen a smudge of vegemite on my lips.

Bread is a staple part of my lunch and I have a slice of it most days, plus at breakfast on Sundays.

I enjoy my half sandwich for lunch, and thats what the sleeve is all about, enjoying food only in smaller potions.

I no longer worry about calories, carbs, or whatever just make sure I get my protein in each day.

ie lunch was my piece of bread toasted with a slice of free cheese, 60 gms corned meat and home made pickle. That gives me around 25 gms of protein.

I'd be worried that your using a carb to get a small amount of protien.

But could be a way of boosting your protien intake if you usually have a sandwich/toast on a daily basis.

Now that you are sleeved did you change the bread that you normally eat to a bread that is high in protein and fibre?

I was always a lover of the good old white bread!!

Early on in my journey I was struggling with not getting enough fibre.
My dietician recommended Helga Seed Sensations Bread and I am loving it.

Prefer the Golden Rye with nearly 5 gms of protein per slice.
