Stomach Size

Thanks that makes alot of sense and fills me with some relief :)

My surgeon and dietician both said that I will start at 100ml and have to push towards 250ml by the end of 12 months (but not to worry if I only get to 200ml)
It's due to the swelling and your rate of healing.
If they made the sleeve 250ml from the start they would stretch back to how they were prior to surgery as soon as the swelling subsided.

Most people start out with about 100ml. Now this can stay about that level for anything from a month or two to 12 months. Any time inbetween there is pretty normal. Tho you should be making an effort to move on from there if it is still that tiny at 12 months, as in attempting to eat a bit more. The stomach should settle at about 250ml this again will happen between about 3 months (rare) to about 2 years.

The ones so far we have seen on the forum go "oh my gawd my sleeve has stretched" have infact been those who where stuck at about 100ml for an extended period of time and then went to about 200-250ml. Not an oh my gawd I can now eat to much, just a shock after eating such a tiny amount for such an extended period.

Hi Everyone

Im wondering how big your stomach is after the swelling has gone down.
I thought it would be 200mls but now I am hearing 100mls.

Is 100mls really enough?
