I'd send myself crazy without a wine. I know! I did the first night last night and managed ok, lots of cups of tea! I have done it before, like you said, while pregnant and pre-op because my liver needed a break. I guess I want to test out if I can do it without a good reason. So far so good. I predict a problem in about a week when I am camping for five days with friends who REALLY like a drink.

| I am starting today, even though it is not officially July yet. For some reason I always have to start things on a Monday! Anyone else can feel free to wait till the official date. | |

| I'll join you! No alcohol since the start of optifast and recently have been thinking just a couple would be fine but I know it would mess with my losses. So it'll give me another reason to put it off. Will get to drinking eventually but I want to get as far as I can towards my goal first | |

| Hi all
I am 14 weeks post sleeve and coping pretty well. One thing I have noticed is that I was quite easily able to abstain from alcohol for two weeks optifast and about 6 weeks post op, and I really didn't want to drink much at all until just recently. As usual, a stressful event in my personal life has me drinking more than I would like. It is not dangerous but it will hamper my weight loss efforts. I thought I would give Dry July a go, and I wondered if anyone wanted to join me? We could support each other and see how far we get.
