Welcome to this site!

I haven't been sleeved yet, booked in for Feb 2nd at SJOGM with Dr Watson.
I've researched a lot and read a lot, so feel emotionally ready.  Only 32 days to go!


This is a great site, lots of good info, advice and it's great to hear how the others are going.  Inspiring!!
I am also on bandingtogether.com.au, they also have a specific thread for sleevers and for different localities e.g. WA.  I've also started a blog on there (Denzel's Blog).

I joined this forum prior to my surgery and found it to be (and still find it) an invaluable resource. Everyone has been so helpful and kind so never hesitate to ask questions or write about how you're feeling.

just found this site and am very excited to see a great support group here. I've read through some of the posts and have not only been enlightened but had a good
laugh too - glad you all have a sense of humour.
I'm seeing Dr Cohen and have had my first visit so am definitely a newbie. My second appointment is on the 9th Jan so will know more then.
I've been reading everything I can to semi prepare myself - I know I can never be fully prepared for the big changes  but I will endeavour to be as
prepared as possible. I have 4 acquaintances who have had the sleeve done and they are at various post stages up to 4 years post and this has been really
helpful in my being able to ask lots of questions.
I'm looking forward to being a part of this support group
