| Hi Sares,
I am 3 weeks post-op tomorrow, and I started wearing a fitbit a week ago. I barely manage 3k a day, so you are doing amazingly well already! I am thinking I need to start some gentle walking. I've been advised not to do anything that requires too much stretching of the torso, but I'd be happy to just double my steps in the next week and go from there.

| Hey Sares,
My surgeon advised slow/moderate walking until 4 weeks, then swimming and normal gym routine at 6 weeks, and CrossFit at 8 weeks.

| Hi all, Tomorrow marks 4-weeks since surgery. My surgeon said "exercise when you feel up to it", but I don't know when is too soon! I have a fitbit and am averaging 4k-8k steps a day - I was on minimum10k steps a day. When can I increase that do you think. I'm exhausted and HUNGRY on days closer to 8k, but I so want to start some form of exercise even if it's just walking (I want to do some weight bearing stuff and exercise bike too eventually)... Any tips on easing your way in and when?! | |
