Newbie Michelle from Cairns

I'm into my 2nd week of opti. Have notice that my shorts a loser so must be doing something right.
Can't Wait for my op!!!!

HI Michelle and welcome.
Its a very exciting time isn't it? I was sleeved 5 days ago and the recovery has been uneventful. A little tenderness at the wound sites and that's it. I have just been drinking as much as I can and at this stage don't feel like eating or that I'm missing out. Wishing you the very best on your journey

Last bacon and eggs for breakfast this morning.
Looking forward to my dietician appointment tomorrow.
Starting opti. I have brought some soups to start with then I will make some for post op.
The next few weeks will change my life.
My oldest daughter is looking forward to "having a much skinnier mum". I'm just thinking, what will I weigh at Xmas! I will be in a bikini this summer. (Only at home not in public yet).
I will let all of you know who Monday goes.

Hello Michelle!  Good on you for making the decision to take charge and change your life....there are so many inspiring people on here, it's such a wonderful resource and full of support, encouragement and information.

So a big hello from me and welcome to this really great forum.
  
Surgery will come around quick and starting opti...well... we all godda do it unfortunately, but for a very good reason. If you're like me you might actually find you like some of the stuff. I enjoyed strawberry shake and the bars, weird, I know, I don't like anything else strawberry flavoured.

You will enjoy the rest of your life, it will make so much difference to you.

Plenty of really helpful advice here so spend some time searching (or lurking) around.
