| First visit with Dr Lord went well. He is a very likeable fellow and had a waiting room full of patients so I gather he is very busy. Very relaxed and certainly doesnt push one procedure verses another. I found myself particulary interested in his Endobarrier treatment but unfotrunately it is not covered by my health fund so is a bit expensive and only lasts 12 months. I have in the past seen various Drs here on the GC re surgery and it was very different. Here they make you meet a raft of professionals form all different fields before they operate however when asked if I needed to do this in Sydney Dr Lord said it was not neccessary.
He explained the options, sleeve, endo etc which all seemed pretty straight forward, he is certainly no frills, does not dress it up with big takaways glossy brochures etc but I must say he certainly comes over as being very very professional and good at what he does.
If I do proceed I would definately engage him, I think you will feel very comfortable in his hands Angela. I hope this helps from my brief experience. | |
