Hi Jane, you are definitely not alone with the other conditions. Luckily I did not have any except for bad back pain from previously having huge boobs (then breast reduction), but it would have only been a matter of time.

Don't worry about the exercise initially - the amazing thing about the sleeve and the weight loss is you start to feel better and have less pain and just day to day activities become easier and you move more. Some people find that in the early days exercising in the pool is great - particularly if you have a group of people you could go with. I never felt comfortable in swimming togs but I made friends with a lapbander at a support group and we took up aqua jogging together. It was so great! (would still be doing it except the pools were destroyed in our earthquake in february).

Good luck with your journey :)

Hi
guys, just wanted to say that I appreciate all the support you have
given me, I hope it continues, I am quite scared as I have very bad
arthritis, rheumatoid, osteo, fibromyalgia, reflux, sleep apnoea and
others including unhealed broken bones in feet from steroid usage for
inflammation. Needless to say this op has been advised to help with my
joint pain and other problems as well as to lose weight in general, how
important is exercise in the weight loss as I am very immobile and in
pain 24/7, I am really frightened it might not work due to meds,
inactivity and steroids, so please tell me if you think it will work
well, I really hope so, thanks for listening, and I pray that I don't
have a flare of condition due to bodily stress. I was advised initially
to have the gastric band but I have tummy ulcers and was not a suitable
candidate, this is a big difference to what I was expecting but I am
positive overall I think,. Best of luck to all of you on your journey.
Hugs Jane. Ill health 595690
