Going from a sleeve to Gastric Bypass. Anybody gone through this??

I had a failed sleeve and also had a fistula for some months and have gone to a bypass. The Story is in my diary under Glenmaree but I am happy to answer may questions you may have so ask away

What is a 'fistula'? I've heard of it being related to constipation but not to the sleeve? How darn disappointing for you - are you in pain? Awful.

The people I have found so far seem to have gone from band to GB or, like Daisy, Stapling to GB. I know someone who has done this, the
band failed her and the surgeon recommended the GB because of the scar tissue from the band.

I am looking for sleeve to GB. I know this is probably nit picking. I just want to know if there is anything specific to this conversion I should know about. To me it's a huge decision, but I could be making more of it than it is. It's good to talk to someone who's been through it.

I still have a fistula 15 months after my surgery. My surgeon has suggested that having the GB would take the pressure off my stomach and the fistula can heal.
I am concerned about this, as I did all my research before the sleeve and had vetoed the GB as I felt the sleeve was best for me.
I am hoping that another splash of glue on the hole and stretching the pyloric muscle at the bottom of my stomach will give it a chance to heal, but it is something I have to think about if this isn't successful.

Is there anyone out there who has gone onto the GB after a sleeve and can offer some advice?
