| Just doing some research and finding out how much you were out of pocket?
I have seen varying amounts of $2500-$5000
I am looking at Dr Cohen, so any advice would be great.

| Mine was $4000 for the surgeon, $1200 for the anae.... (however it's spelt) plus my PHI hosptial excess.
They also quoted $185 for a barium swallow but I never had one.
I also had a four x consult package with the Dieittian to pay for in advance.

| I am paying $3100 for the surgery. $1350 for the anethatis cant spell. $250 for phi excess. $198 barium swallow. | |

| Mine was $4000 for surgeon, $1200 anes. $250 excess.
I was annoyed with the anes. bill as I was quoted $800 but he took pleasure in informing me he is an intensive care special and as you have a brain condition blah blah blah, one of those people. | |

| I'm with Medibank Private and so far I've paid $1600 to the surgeon and $500 excess to Medibank.
I'm still yet to see the anesthetist, so I'm not sure what that cost is yet!

| Mine is Surgeon $3800. Anaesthetists $1500. PHI excess $250. Barium swallow $180. Dietician $200.
Just under $6000. Considering I paid pretty much that to a personal trainer each year for three years, but am still over weight, I think it's worth it.
Oh, PT was fantastic. I got very fit. Just couldn't co trol my food intake. | |
