Hi. My BMI was 36 (I think) and I'm having a sleeve done on 3rd July with Dr Harsha Chandraratna in Murdoch. So far, he and his team have been great. Met the anaesthetist Dr Kurian last week and she also seems fabulous. I researched a few of the Perth surgeons and decided on Harsha. A friend also used him a few years ago and had nothing but good words to say. Good luck with your decision.

Hi, and welcome Cljbc!

I was sleeved at BMI 32 - my blog is on bandingtogether.com, under same name -"denzel".
I went with Stephen Watson - a competent surgeon, but no follow-up.

My friend @juldon1 went with Leon Cohen - Mercy Bariatric, and others have recommended (I'm not going to get the name right - Harma Chandan - at Murdoch).

All the best!
:)

Hi, I'd love to hear any tips, stories, suggestions and advice from people who have had a gastric sleeve at BMI 35. My friend (who's wonderful..) isn't so supportive on this. I however am very keen to investigate this further. I'm 163cm & 92.5kgs. I've spent my whole adult life and most of my teen years deeply unhappy with my body resulting in low self esteem. I've spent thousands of dollars trying everything from shakes to prescribed drugs, I've been successful at loosing a little weight, but it always comes back on. I've also not been in my healthy weight range since primary school. I'd love to hear from anyone who thinks they can relate to this (good and bad)...
Thanks for your time.
