I was approved about 7 months ago but decided at the time that i wasn't ready. Can i still use the same approval letter or do i have to reapply.
thanks from the paperwork i have it states the dated letter cannot be any older than 6 months so from that im guessing you will need to get another referral and specialist letter oops sorry i misread - if you already have the approval letter from DHS then you should be fine to go ahead , cant help but try !!

| Leanne...It is tempting to think you could spend the money on so much else. I see it as an investment in my health and I think of the money I will save from being healthy, not becoming diabetic, not needing knee surgery etc etc. And I don't think you can put a price on an extra 10 or 20 years of life. I think my kids and husband will have a happier mum & wife. That's priceless! | |

| Thanks everyone for your replies.
So I have come to my senses today. I think I was just thinking of how useful the money would be at the moment, thats why a had a little thought of not having surgery. But I sat down and had a good think, and i know I will not loose weight permantely if I did any other diet AGAIN.
S yes I am going through with surgery...yippee

| I'm not sure about the money side of things however in terms of you changing your mind I think you need to think about why you chose this option to begin with.
Ask yourself why you haven't succeeded so far to lose weight the conventional way.
Good luck | |

| ultimately it's your choice and you have to live with it. Have you asked super company - I know they don't you taking money out unless it is under strict guidelines.
If you aren't sure what to do ask yourself if you are just really scared or don't have enough info. Maybe you are rushing. Can you get indurance and wait the 12 mths. I ended up waiting more the 18mths but I used the time to lose abit of weight and start getting my mind ready.
Good luck. | |

| Leanne,
How long have you been feeling this way ? Have you been researching the Sleeve for long? It sounds like you are unsure of whether the Sleeve is for you.

| Hi there,
I asked if they approved , and paid more than I actually ended up paying did I have to pay back the excess. I was told that once it's approved and you have it it's yours.

| So I just want to make it clear, I am not thinking of doing this, but just curious.
So what happens if you get approved to use super, you get the money and the back out of having op done? Do you have to prove payment of surgery?
