im applying to use my super,,, how long did the application process take?
Also did you have any preexisting conditions?
thanks Nadine Hi it took 7 days for them to approve it and 2 days later I got the approval letter. I have just yesterday sent my super form away with the letter and ID so now am waiting for my super fund to process it all and send the cheque. It was all a pretty easy process as long as you get everything together. What surgeon are you looking into? I am going with Dr Ian Martin. Will let u know how it all goes if u like :) I do not have pre- existing condition besides depression that is.. And I am not medicated for that ATM. My doc just filled out thier form for medical professional and wrote it was affecting my mental and physical health and I would have less time to live pretty much. The surgeon did a letter and knew exactly what to say. As long as they both put "life threatening" somewhere in it it will be fine.

Don't despair. The money from my super fund was in the bank 7 days after I got the verbal approval from DHS. I received the formal letter the following day. I had the fund form ready to go. 20th nov doesn't seem impossible based on my experience
Jo thanks :) from what I have worked out it will take around 9 days to receive and have the cheque clear. I have to pay the surgeon 1 week before surgery so i will be cutting it fine. Crossing all things though LOL

| OMG I am so happy my super was approved!!!!!!!! It was so damn easy now I have the agonizing wait to get the money through...Waiting on my super fund forms so I can get the ball rolling... I Don't think I am going to make my deadline to pay my surgeon fee's before the Op though :( It is meant to happen on 20th November but can't see it going ahead then :(. Might have to be a new year op I think... At least I have the relief of knowing I have the money and it is going to happen though :) | |
