My incisions took ages to heal (I got staph in a couple) and I only put bio oil on them when I remember....

Unsure if it helps but my mum has a scar from a thyroid op and her surgeon absolutely recommended she use it to minimise the redness etc. (Much more noticeable on the throat )

To be honest, I dont remember when my scabs fell off.

I never bothered with any kind of oils, they really dont do anything to reduce the appearance of the scars, only time will help with that. Mine are almost silvery looking now with a faint purple outline, Im really happy with how they are fading.

My five stab marks are scabbed up well.
Starting to get a bit itchy like any normal scab.

I'm day 11 post op.

Around when do they fall off?

And when do you start scar prevention oils? As soon as scabs fall?
