| do it strawberry!! it was SO wonderful! plan to arrive early or stay late to make use of the spa and sauna too (if they offer that there) - was a perfect end to the arvo.
funny you should mention the robes claire!- the ones there were pretty small, even my Husband could barely do his up. mine didn't close over my hips so rather than flash my undies i grabbed a spare towel from their change rooms and put it around my waist under the robe, worked perfectly and no one could tell :) | |

| That sounds just glorious - I'd been thinking of giving the Golden Door at Kingscliff a whirl - I think you've inspired me! | |

| well i did it, full body massage, facial and pedicure, and let me say- it was GLORIOUS. the girl was lovely and never said a word or anything, so respectful and even helped me on and off the table etc. highly recommend the Golden Door at Elyssia to everyone, it was amazing. | |

| Lol how funny would it be, walk down a big fat carpet and then they hand you your giant crown "don't worry, it is specially designed to fit your GIANT FAT head maam, please make your thundering way to our specially prepared fat treatment room, we've let half the water out of the pool in case you wish to swim' | |

| Wondering if anyone has been to the Golden Door in the Hunter Valley, NSW, and if so, did they cater to larger people? I don't expect some special 'fat carpet' and 'fat crown' lol but I mean, were they indifferent to your size, did you have issues with snooty spa staff and/or facilities because of your size etc? My concern was that perhaps the exclusivity of this spa may mean their attitude is exclusive/arrogant to match? I hope not, cos I really wanna go!! I've never had a massage due to fear of embarrassment and I'm ridiculously nervous the table will break or they'll just stand there judging me haha. Ahhh the things that go through the mind of a female....
