| hi, I have yet to be sleeved. The body is trying to figure out what is happening. (I have been on diets etc where I have hit plateus). It is going to happen, as others have mentioned. As you get eating and being able to move thin gs will change. Our bodies are stubborn (like us), don't like change suddenly and will resist. | |

| Try not to stress the body does crazy things as it heals and adjusts to the new diet it's being fueled off :)
Stay positive things will keep moving.

| Around week 3 people are renowned for a stall - I actually gained 200g, and otherwise lost none for 2.5 weeks. It's to do with your body replacing glycogen stores. As you can see from my ticker, it will move again.
Cheers, W2B :) | |

| i remember writing a similar post around week 3 or 4 and lots and lots of ppl writing back to say they also stalled around the same time period. I was on soft foods at that stage but it kinda kicked in after that. Im still a slow loser but im still losing which is fine by me. Ive had about 2 other stalls since then and im almost 5 months post op, so its all natural :) | |

| At around 6 weeks, a lot of people have a bit of a stall.
Don't worry, just keep eating normally, and usually after a week, the weight loss is DOUBLE. My weight loss averaged 1/2 to a kilo a week for 6 months, and I lost every thing! 33 kgs later, I am nearly at goal, and thrilled. Just be patient, and don't panic. Drink water, and stay away from the scales.

| Hi nancy,
I had my sleeve done on the 11th January and came home on the 13th. That first week home I lost 5 kgs, yet this last week gone I only lost 0.5kg and I have only just gradually been starting on mushy food the last few days (and I'm talking about 2-4 teaspoons per meal so not much). I'm assuming its just the body getting used to all the change????
Also I don't think I have managed to get my required fluid intake much this week so not sure if that had anything to do with it...
Fingers crossed things start happening for us both again next week

| Hi and welcome. Congrats on being sleeved. It happens early days, I wouldn't worry. I lost nothing week 2 and again week 4 from memory. You need to give you body time to heal and adjust, plus you are are still on fluids. Hang in there, it will happen. Wishing you all the best for your journey. | |

| Hi Nancy
The first 4-6 weeks are about healing and re-introducing the foods to your new stomach. Don't worry about the weightloss at this stage. Many people on here talk about plateauing early on, but it seems to change as you heal and can eat more protein etc.
Best wishes
