PostSubject: Re: Other types of Healers...   Other types of Healers... EmptySun 10 Oct 2010, 1:26 am

I've been to a few healers that use crystals, spirit guides, reiki and lots more.

One when I went to Qld, to visit a friend. 2 that live in Perth and one up here where I live (acutally theres a few up here)

I want to go and learn crystal healing, theres a place in Perth that does it. I just need to find the time to go down and its over a w/end.

I also have to book in and do a reiki course. somthing i've always wanted to do.

there are some great healers out there, word of mouth is the best way to go...

Crystals ,,, well I don't know how they work just know they do. When I brought jewelry for my kids with crystals inbedded in them .I didn't tell them that this is for that ( what they needed) like tigers eye I got for my son , he didnt realise it did anything till he left it off for 2 days I asked him how he was feeling he said he wasn't feeling the same as he use to funny is how he put it . i said wheres your crystal ? Then told him what benifits it had and he was so suprised he never takes it off now.
massage with crystals are soothing . get your other half to give you one,,a massage that is... if it doesn't help you still had a massage :lol!:

Thanks Fadding,

Ahh, ok. Well I dont know that I am a believer, but I am open to
listening to someone elses experiences. I remember being told once that
crystals do heal, but how and why is so hard for me to get my head around.
Of course I dont judge those who might swear by the power of crystals.
I know a couple that were drinking this stuff called coloital silver, they felt awesome on it
and they believe their health has improved, but on another person, it didnt seem to have any affect... you never can tell. But Im not really a sceptic either, what works for one may not work for another and thats still better than nothing at all isnt it..?

Hi Cris,
When I say Alternative therapies, I actually mean Healers that use Crystals, or Spiritual Guides.
I know that complementary therapies are used often and are rather popular now. But what about the Healers that we dont really hear about, but that may still be relevent.
I am hoping that we could hear about experiences with hands on spiritual healing etc...
I think my first post may have been abit hazy, sorry everyone.

Hi there
Hayley, the term "complementary therapies" is now used to refer to those which used to be called "alternative therapies".
I personally use chiropractic, osteopathic and massage therapies regularly and have also used acupuncture to great effect in the past. I do not perform any of these therapies myself.
As usual in all therapies, you can get good and bad practitioners. It's usually best to ensure that you see someone who has been fully trained, and a recommendation by someone else who sees them is often a good way to find a reliable practitioner. There are also state and national bodies that are voluntarily joined by reputable practitioners who uphold a high level of service.
I think that this thread is a good one to add. Thanks.
Chris

I do alternative medicines, aroma therapy is great. There is a book that I call my bible it is called The Fragerant Pharmacy, excellent book has heaps of recipes in it , tells you what each essential oil is for , and if you don't like the thought of using them they small wonderful! either in a bath , massaged in with a carrier iol or in vapour. It even has facial recepes for face creams etc.
I am a massage therapist as well and ,I believe that massage works unreall on any ache or pain.It can be combined with the aroma therapy for better results,If you don't like to be touched there is reflexology where your feet are massaged , My cousin had had surgery and doesn't like the body massage so I talked her into having reflexology (ok maybe I nagged) but she said yas and so down on the floor I got .I had my book in front of me as I didn't want to upset her operation ,every part of the foot relates to a part of the body.anyway I was doing my thing when I felt a large lump (size of a small pea) in the part of her foot that related to her lung. I told her that she should go back to her specialist to have this seen to. ( ok I nagged her again ) she went back had more tests and they couldn't believe that I had found a infection in her lung .Her specialist got my cousin to bring me in with her on her next visit and he quizzed me and asked what I had done , He was stunned that I had found this in her foot. Not both just the side where the infection was. every tiime i see my cousin she insists on having her footsal as she calls it.
Reflexology is great to help in the recovery after an operation , I can't do it on my self which is a shame as I love my feet touched :lol!: If you are interested in his get a book out at the library and have a look.
Has anyone ever tried essential oils? not the ones you get from FdB'S. they are more fragerant than theraputic. I am sure that everyone has tried eucalyptus oil on there pillow when they have a stuffed up nose or even in hot water to get the steam.I love to heat it on my wood fire in water in winter .the smell goes through the home and smells great .

Hi all,
I wanted to start this topic, but if its not appropriate I will delete the thread.
I wanted to have a thread available for people who believe in different kinds of healing than our conventional doctors and nurses. This is not to knock Doctors and Nurses, its more to gain understanding of how other types of healing works, what it involves and how its done etc.
So if you are a Healer of Any kind, please feel free to share here.
On the other side of the coin, if you have gone to a Healer of some kind, let us know how it went, how you felt, and what was the outcome. Also, what should I name this thread?
Please let me know if you find this insulting in any way, obviously I dont know anything at all about the topic, otherwise I wouldnt have asked... so if its not appropriate to have this topic here, I will delete it straight away.
Just a note though, this is a serious topic, and mockery, aggression or insults will not be tolerated, so if you dont want to read it, dont read it.
Thanks for reading, I look forward to your input!
Hayley
