| Hi formyboys...Got the antidepressants down no probs at all..I did go through a stage of anxiety, insomnia and depression after the sleeve..started in hospital..I think it just threw me out of wack..the bed..not getting much sleep..then the loss of my best friend 'FOOD" but after 3 weeks it went away and now 5 weeks out feeling heaps better and loveeeeeeeee my sleeve...Regarding twins I did have a little girl and boy but unfortunately I lost them during pregnancy..they are now my angles looking down from heaven...and mine would be 3 also had they survived...Don't worry formyboys you will love your sleeve..when are you having it done? | |

| arhhhh awesome, cant wait then cause i really didnt find the band much trouble at all.the thing i found worse with the band was such a long time of all the food like, fluids, slops, etc etc grrrrr was a killer.
lissyd i read a post about the anti-depressants and i even commented but how did you go taking them after, getting them down etc? i also thought i saw you have twins?????? me too!!! mine are 3 :)

| Hi Formyboys..I've found it much easier with the sleeve..like Carebare said more choices and you get to enjoy all the healthy good stuff..I had my band for 41/2 yrs and It was a living hell..craved healthy nutritious foods but only junk would go down with out pain and struggle...I am now 4weeks out and feel much better than I did this stage with band..And I agree with carebare again the pain was much less than the band...I would of rated the band for pain 5 out of 10 and sleeve 2 out of 10..so hope this helps..trust me it's much better than the horrible band..good luck xxx | |

| I found the band harder.
Easier with the sleeve, as I was used to small portions, used o chew chew chewing, used to eating slowly, and I never could drink and eat with the band - so all that helps with the sleeve.
Able to eat more foods with the sleeve - healthier food choices easier! In fact, don't be alarmed I am eating more with the sleeve than I ever did with the band - difference is though I can fill up on protein and fruit/ veggies that I could never eat with the band - more food but far less calories!
I did find the pain was less for me post sleeve op too - think I was expecting it to be worse but it wasn't phew! I did take a bit longer to recover physically though - felt weak for longer needed lots of nanna naps for the first 2 weeks post sleeve. | |
