Do you have to Opti when getting band out?

Thanks Ladies, I stopped the opti because I'm just not tough enough if I think I can away with not having it lol. ROll on surgery tomorrow...

yes its been so hard but ive had my month of eating today i started my shakes again to try and loose some weight. ive put on so much and never thought id ever be this weight EVER!.

Hi formyboys,

I can relate to eating like a horse. I am putting on the kgs again and that is really playing with my mind. I shall try to do better tomorrow.

I live in Toowoomba and my surgery will be done here by the same doctor who put in and removed my band. He is a great surgeon and I feel safe in his hands.

I wish I didn't have to wait so long.

I had my band removed 4 weeks ago and am eating like a horse :(

i have my sleeve done in jan 2012 and my dr said i have to do opti-fast before the surgery. Ive never done it before i did mac clouds it is 100% better than opti my mum tells me cause she has it for breaky most days. i got it from my old band clinic at sunnybank obesity clinic or i think you can google them and buy direct!.

where in qld are you mother hen?. dr greenslade is my new doctor and i have found him great!

Hi lisabell

I had my band removed three weeks ago. I didn't have to do Opti again, just turned up at the hospital for surgery. I have to wait until January for my Sleeve op, but won't know until December if I have to do Opti before that op. It was a wonderful relief to have the band removed after having it for two years. I recovered well from the removal op, but I just worry about how much weight I will put on between now and January.

Hello, I get my sleeve out on Friday and the doctor hasn't mentioned opti to me.
Has anyone undergone the surgery without the need?
I've played about for the past week having it but not very strictly, I did 4 days last week and 2 this week so far.
I figure if he hasn't said I need it then I don't. So saying that as I have a band in he may just take it for granted that I know I need to.
