| Hi girls just thought i would give you an update. I travelled to Adelaide and saw Dr D'Onofrio and he is doing my sleeve on Decmber 5th !!! also doing a herniia repair so i expect recovery may be a bit slow but nothing could be worse than the lapband ersion and removal ....
Hope you all are doing well and look forward to becoming " one of the team " lol

- Hi Cookie
I too am a lap band survivor, although I only had one. I think you are brave having a second. I lost 34 kg's with my band and it was great for a year and a half then the last 6 months was pure hell and then it slipped and then came out. I have had to wait 2 years to head toward getting a sleeve, only because when I had my band out two days later I found out I was preggers and then last year I was booked for a sleeve but had to postpone. I told my sugreon there was no way in hell I was having another band and if I had to I would live the rest of my life miserbale and fat if I couldnt have anything else done. I just wasnt having another but luckily he agreed with me and no longer puts second bands in he normally offers the sleeve. So fingers crossed I'll get the go ahead again. I have an appt thursday so am hoping he'll give the ok and a date soon. I understand how you feel.
I wish you all the best and hope that you are able to have your sleeve done and that eveil band didnt do too much damage. Good luck and keep us posted. Thanks so much for your support , good luck to you too :))

| Don't worry, love. This is the FIRST place I will come after my visit. I will give you the complete rundown...I am so worried he wont do it as my BMI is around 36 but I have a few other contributing factors so hopefully he will put me out of my misery and say a big YES! | |

| Hi , my name is Sharon , i will be 47 tomorrow and i have had two bands in the past 4 years and many serious issues with them. i have no bands now and i will travel to Adelaide in 3 weeks to meet Dr D'Onofrio for my first consult.
I was 137 kilo when i was banded the first time and i lost 40 kilos in total. I have since gained 20 kilos back and steadily gaining more each week :(((
I cannot wait to see Dr D'Onofrio and i hope and pray i can get a sleeve and hope the last band erosion doesn't affect my chance for a sleeve.
Ok thanks and you all give me soooo much hope for the future.
